(August 2015-April 2016) Shackelford served as an advisor to the Family ownership group of a large quick service restaurant chain in 2012 and was engaged formally in August 2015 to lead the exploration of “strategic alternatives” for the Family. In this advisory role, Shackelford spent significant time with each constituent to determine each’s needs and objectives.  The Family directed Shackelford to conduct a process wherein investment bankers, attorneys and other professionals were sourced, interviewed and hired, served as the liaison between the Company and those professionals, led the preparation of all process and diligence materials, helped prepare the management team for and participated in management meetings and advised the Family on its alternatives.
